Chocolate covered waffle bites

Looking for an afternoon dessert to win over young and old? Then you should definitely give these chocolate-covered waffle bites a try. These fluffy and mildly sweet waffle pieces (Belgian waffles mind you) are coated in a white, milk or dark layer of Finest Belgian Chocolate to give them a crunchy texture and a delicious extra taste dimension. Real crowd-pleasers these beauties!

Waffle bites

  • 240g
  • 30g
  • 10g
    baking powder
  • 2g
  • 110g

Melt the butter and mix it in with beaten eggs and milk. Mix together the flour, salt, sugar and baking powder and whisk well into the above mixture. Pour the mixture into the waffle moulds and place onto a baking tray. Cook in a 220°C preheated oven for 8-9 minutes. Remove from oven and take the waffles out of the mould. Place the waffles back onto the baking tray (waffle side up) and cook for a further 4 minutes or until golden.

When the waffles have cooled, break them into pieces. Melt the chocolate and dip the pieces of waffle into the chocolate so that the waffle is fully coated. Decorate with sprinkles or by piping chocolate, allow to set, and serve.
