Patrick Mertens is the co-founder of Chocoladehuis BOON in Hasselt and has been named Chocolatier of the Year 2024. In his open workshop, he and his team create unique chocolate sculptures, pralines, and other delightful chocolate creations. Patrick, Inge, and their team have collaborated with renowned names in the fashion, art, and culinary world, including Paul Smith, Hannelore Knuts, Harrods, Nike, and Essentiel. Their famous "Vlaaipralines" are pralines with the flavors of typical Limburg pies.
