Mark Tilling is an award-winning pâtissier and chocolatier with over 30 years of experience in the culinary industry. Starting his career in a local hotel pastry kitchen, Mark went on to work in prestigious establishments such as The Lanesborough in London, Lainston House Hotel, and the Pave D’Auge in Normandy, France. He has cooked for renowned figures including President George Bush Sr., Cher, Tom Cruise, Nicole Kidman, and HRH Prince Edward.
Mark’s accolades include multiple gold and silver medals for his desserts and chocolate showpieces, as well as winning the UK Chocolate Masters two years in a row. He represented the UK at the World Chocolate Masters, placing 7th globally in 2009, and later became a UK Callebaut Chocolate Ambassador.
Passionate about sharing his craft, Mark teaches chocolate and pâtisserie at the UK Chocolate Academy in Banbury and has authored three books on chocolate and baking. He is a familiar face on TV, winning BBC Two’s Bake Off the Perfectional and appearing on shows such as Extreme Chocolate Makers on Netflix and James Martin’s Saturday Morning on ITV.
