Devin D. Cowan is a pastry artist and chocolatier whose career began in 2012 after completing culinary school in South Louisiana. He joined The Greenbrier Resort with the goal of apprenticing under acclaimed French pastry chef Jean-Francois Suteau, assisting him in preparation for the 2013 World Chocolate Masters. This experience became the spark that ignited Devin’s lifelong passion for chocolate.
Devin went on to make his own mark in the industry with award-winning showpieces, wedding cakes, plated desserts, and petit gâteaux that quickly gained the attention of publications, bloggers, and a growing social media audience. In 2017, he competed in the World Chocolate Masters US and earned first place in both Showpiece and Patisserie. The following year, he was named the 2018 Pastry Icon at the Iconoclast Dinner Experience at the James Beard House.
Alongside his creative work, Devin has served as a brand ambassador for Callebaut and appeared as a chef-instructor on Netflix’s School of Chocolate. Most recently, he led the pastry rebrand at The Polo Club of Boca Raton, opening the Polo Patisserie and elevating the club’s pastry program with a focus on thoughtful design and sustainability. His leadership and innovation have earned him features such as the Club and Resort “40 Under 40” cover and a keynote speaker role at the 2025 Chef to Chef Conference.
Today, Devin is the Founder and Creative Director of Partager, a luxury bespoke chocolate brand specializing in artistic, small-batch creations designed to elevate corporate gifting and high-end celebrations. Through Partager, he continues to merge imagination with craftsmanship, offering rare, memorable experiences that celebrate the art of sharing.
